The animal health market encompasses a wide range of products, processes, and production needs, from vaccines and diagnostics to biologics and supporting materials. Biologos provides flexible manufacturing and packaging capabilities to accommodate different production requirements, with options including bottles, bulk containers, and custom bag configurations. This flexibility supports projects ranging from development and scale-up through commercial production.
Scalable production, sterile processing, and controlled packaging designed to meet the quality, consistency, and documentation requirements of vaccine production
From diagnostic reagents to vaccine and biologics, serum, media, buffers, and other specialty products that support the development and production of companion animal health products.
Specialized formulations, production, and packaging capabilities suited to the unique requirements of individualized animal health programs
Supporting the development of emerging animal health technologies, including cell and gene therapy programs, with specialized media, buffers, reagents, and sterile-filtered process solutions that support development, process optimization, and scale-up.
Animal-origin materials such as serum require detailed sourcing and traceability controls to address factors including country of origin, World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) risk classification, source animal age, and processing history. Biologos maintains documented sourcing and lot-level traceability, with processing performed to defined specifications and supported by the documentation required for quality and regulatory review.
From serum and cell culture media to buffers and reagents, Biologos manufactures custom sterile filtered products for the animal health industry. Products are produced to defined specifications and available at scales that support development, scale-up, and production requirements.
Buffers and Process Solutions
We manufacture formulation buffers, dilution and reconstitution solutions, wash solutions, stabilization buffers, and other process solutions to agreed-upon specifications. Products are produced using controlled manufacturing processes and tested against defined quality requirements, including pH, osmolality, conductivity, and other application-specific attributes.
Cell Culture Media, Supplements, and Enzymes
Whether manufacturing from a custom formulation or transferring from another supplier, we produce sterile-filtered media designed for consistent performance and reliable supply. Our offerings include standard, custom, and basal media, as well as supplements, additives, serum products, trypsin, and other process enzymes for cell culture and vaccine manufacturing.
Reagents
Reagents are supplied in the concentration, fill volume, and packaging configuration your workflow requires, from early development through commercial-scale production. We can combine multiple components into a single ready-to-use solution, eliminating preparation steps, reducing handling, and maintaining consistency as demand grows.
Serums
From porcine and equine serum to bovine, newborn calf, and fetal bovine serum (FBS), we support animal health manufacturers with documented traceability and supply-chain controls. We help identify the right origin, processing, and packaging for your application. All serum is sterile-filtered, with heat inactivation or gamma irradiation available as needed.

Bottles, bulk containers, or custom single-use assemblies, tailored packaging, labeling, and delivery to integrate into your operations.
Every product we manufacture is produced under an ISO 13485-certified quality management system, with documented, traceable, lot-released production and a certificate of analysis for every batch. We support your quality, documentation, and regulatory requirements at every step, including source qualification and traceability for animal-derived materials.
Can you provide heat-inactivated or gamma-irradiated serum?
Depending on the product and packaging configuration, we can support additional processing requirements, including heat inactivation and gamma irradiation. We review available options during project planning to ensure compatibility with the product and its intended application.
Can you support engineering, qualification, or validation batches?
Yes. We routinely support development, engineering, qualification, and validation activities prior to commercial production. The appropriate approach depends on the product, process, and customer requirements.
Can you transfer a product from another supplier?
Yes. Many projects begin with an existing formulation, an established process, or a discontinued product that must be transferred to manufacturing. We work with customers to understand product requirements and develop an appropriate manufacturing and qualification approach.
Do you manufacture our formulation, or only your own products?
Most of our animal health work is manufactured from customer-provided formulations or specifications. We can also support product transfers, reformulations, and custom development as needed. You own the formulation; we manufacture it to agreed-upon specifications.
How do you handle a formulation that’s locked into a licensed process?
We manufacture in accordance with approved specifications and documented manufacturing requirements. When changes are necessary, we evaluate, document, and communicate them appropriately. Our goal is to provide long-term consistency while supporting customer quality and regulatory requirements.
How fast can you turn around a new project or a rush lot?
Timelines vary by product, raw materials, testing requirements, and packaging configuration. We work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide realistic timelines based on the project’s scope.
What about custom container formats and fill volumes?
Products can be supplied in bottles, bulk containers, standard single-use systems, or custom bag assemblies tailored to specific manufacturing requirements. Fill volumes, tubing configurations, ports, and packaging formats can be selected to support the intended application and manufacturing process.
What filtration capabilities do you offer?
We manufacture products using sterile filtration processes appropriate for the application and product requirements. Filtration approaches, filter selection, and process design are determined by the specific product and manufacturing needs.
What volumes can you handle?
We support volumes from development and validation batches through commercial-scale production. Manufacturing scale, packaging configuration, and supply requirements can change, and we work with customers to support growth while maintaining product consistency.
